- (Jeremiah 3:15) …And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
- (Hebrews 13:17) Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
- (Colossians 2:5) For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
Many, no, most people in Christendom do not know that we must have a pastor according to God’s own heart to feed us with knowledge and understanding, watch for our souls, and give an account to Him of us — hoping to do so with joy and not with grief. Even in their absence, they behold our order and steadfastness of faith in the Lord. Any person without a pastor (according to God’s own heart) is in danger of eternal judgment.
